About the Role

ClearScore is searching for an experienced frontend developer to provide leadership to our growing community of developers around the world.

You will be responsible for all aspects of building the ‘client-side’ of our web applications; including setting up and improving CI/CD pipelines, developer tooling, and new web features. As a leader, you will also be responsible for helping to set the technology strategy and focus in the short and long term.

You’ll push code into production within a few days of joining, having a positive impact on millions of peoples' finances globally.

What you could be doing

  • Directing and implementing technical road-maps across multiple teams
  • Implementing technical and product solutions in JavaScript
  • Maintaining and improving the website
  • Optimising applications for maximum speed
  • Building mobile-first based features
  • Collaborating with backend developers and web designers to improve usability
  • Peer-reviewing to enable us to do frequent and resilient releases to global markets
  • Writing unit, integration and browser tests
  • Staying up-to-date on emerging technologies
  • Helping us improve!

We are always looking for ways to do things better and encourage new joiners to bring their ideas and ways of working to the table. Teach us some cool stuff and we'll teach you some, but most of all, you'll have fun doing it.

Requirements

  • Experience leading and managing development teams
  • Drive to identify problems, propose and implement detailed solutions for low level code as well as core architecture
  • Keen to learn the latest techniques and help apply them where applicable
  • Passionate about troubleshooting, debugging, and automation
  • Commercial experience of Responsive Web Design
  • Proficient in JavaScript
  • ReactJS experience would be a benefit
