React jobs at William Hill

William Hill

You’ve got a knack for making us look good

As a passionate Web Developer, you’re a real front-end craftsman. You love nothing more than making things look better, and feel smoother. You’re on top of your game. And your healthy obsession with testing and reviewing will keep us on top of ours, at the forefront of online sports betting. In other words: you know what it takes to make us look good… and stay looking good

Your role in the team

Utilising your full range of coding skills and the very latest tech, you’ll ensure that getting behind every goal, jump, lap and spin is a smoother, faster and more intuitive experience for our sports betting and gaming customers around the world. On top of that, you’ll be responsible for the integrity of the software too. You’ll produce and deliver new applications and features for a global audience, and help migrate other parts of our site onto new platforms. We love to develop our people, so you’ll find this is the ideal place to make the most of your talents. We enjoy a friendly, agile and empowering culture where you can look forward to getting the opportunities, training and support to be the best you can be.

Skills needed

You’ll be a dedicated team player with an expert understanding of JavaScript (ES5 & ES6). Our new projects use React, so it’s a bonus to have that. But if you’re an Angular or Vue expert that’s fine too.  We build our microservices in Node.js and unit and component test our code. You’ll also be confident in your ability to write clean, maintainable and high-quality JavaScript to best practice standards.

What we offer

In addition to the benefits you expect, like a generous pension, Healthcare and Life Assurance, we’ll welcome you on board with 25 days holiday (not to mention 12 bank holidays and an extra day for your birthday). You can also look forward to a rewarding bonus scheme and healthy gym discounts. What’s more, our sports and social committee are on hand just to make sure that it’s not all work and no play.

If you’re thinking about relocating to join us, we offer an excellent package to help you do so. While English is the local language, we’ll help you and your family with Spanish lessons too.

And that includes scaling the impressive Rock of Gibraltar or taking a dip a one of the 6 great beach spots.
