Local Logic is looking for a Senior Javascript Developer to help build our B2B and B2C real estate products

About the Role:
As a Senior Javascript Developer at Local Logic you will be involved in building products that are used by millions of people every day. You will be following development best practices to help the team build quality products. You will also have an important role in ensuring that our architecture workflow is scalable as the team grows. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will work closely with a talented team that includes product managers, data scientists, GIS experts, and web developers. Given that the company is set to double the size of its team within a year, this role provides a great opportunity to make a major impact on the company's technology and processes for years to come.
Responsibilities
- Develop, architect, optimize, and maintain our frontend products alongside our FE products team
- Design, develop and document our APIs to ensure they are suitable for both internal and external clients
- Help implement a devops toolchain to ensure we can continue to develop and deploy rapidly while maintaining quality as the team grows
- Help architect, code, and maintain product features
- Help raise the company's standards in software engineering with regards to quality assurance, coding standards, and best practices
- Participate in the planning and scoping of projects
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years software development experience, with experience designing and developing consumer facing products
- Excellent coding skills in JavaScript and node.js
- API design experience : REST, ReactJS
- Experience with Front-End Frameworks
- Experience with cloud-computing systems, such as AWS and serverless architectures
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- You are comfortable speaking English and have good communication skills in general
- You are a disciplined software engineer: you know and live the best practices
Additional Assets
- React experience
- Experience with serverless architectures
- Experience with ClojureScript or other functional languages
- Experience building native mobile applications
- Experience building applications on map engines (Google Maps, MapBox, Leaflet etc)
- Experience leading or managing software teams
- Experience working in a startup
- Bilingual French/English
