React Native Developer

Nucleo Digital is searching for a Senior React Native Developer to help us design and build a modern tech stack for our client. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about the latest technologies and can lead the design and development of nimble and scalable applications. A successful candidate will bring deep analytical ability, software engineering expertise, and the ability to deliver results within a fast-moving agile environment.

What you will do:

• Work with modern Javascript and tooling, including Node.js and server-side frameworks such as Express and Koa.
• Create reusable mobile-first user interfaces using frameworks such as React
• Contribute to the iOS and Android mobile app using React Native
• Experience with Native Android (Java) an asset
• Code, test and implement solutions to meet business needs in reasonable time
• Work within an agile and cross functional team aimed at delivering a quality product
• Maintain code quality and best practices across the stack.
• Develop plans and take ownership of tasks
• Articulate technical issues in plain language
• Understand web/application security and keep up to date on development trends

• 3+ years of web application development experience, with strong familiarity with JavaScript,NodeJS, ReactJS, HTML and CSS
• Experience with state management and web frameworks & tools (Redux, Webpack etc)
• Experience with React Native and mobile development for iOS and Android
• Experience with data modelling and using relational SQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL)
• Experience with mobile-first design concepts and principles
• Experience with unit tests and knowledge of JavaScript-based testing frameworks
• Experience with source control (e.g. Git, SVN) and software delivery techniques/tools.
• Self-motivated attitude with the ability to adapt quickly when priorities change.
• Nice-to-have: experience building secure and scalable production applications supporting a high volume of users.
• Nice-to-have: familiarity with AWS services, DevOps best practices and cloud computing.
